Today there will be an artist reception for La Onda, with a curator talk and a performance by Grupo Folklórico Itzcalli.
Join us for a celebration of Mexico’s Dia De Independencia with light beverages and antojitos.
Celebrating the works of these amazing Latin-X artist from various parts of Latin America. For the month of September, Crossroads Hotel will act as host to La Onda: A Migrating Exhibition, with Rodolfo Marrón III as guest curator. The gallery will house Latin-X artists, spanning across various media and will be on view September 2nd First Friday, to September 30th.
Alongside the exhibition curated by Marrón, he will have his studio space available for viewing, offering the audience a chance to see his in-progress work and materials for his archiving project, Documentando Mi Historia. This project aims to work with the Latin-x community around Kansas City by offering resources and assistance in documenting family photographs and sharing knowledge on photo archiving.
