Built in 1911 as the Pabst Brewing Depot, this is a place where legacy and a new kind of energy converge. Our story is steeped in history, from the horse-drawn wagons of the brewery to the legendary spirit of Prohibition-era boss Tom Pendergast. Today, we've reimagined this landmark as a hub for locals, travelers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Welcome to the Crossroads Hotel, where every detail is crafted with care, and every conversation is an invitation to connect.
From morning coffee to evening cocktails, Crossroads Hotel is the place to eat and drink like a local. Start your day with a pastry at XR, then join us on the rooftop for a drink with a view. Later, savor modern Italian classics at Lazia, our take on old-world charm. Here, every bite and sip is a journey into Kansas City's rich culinary scene.
The spirit of Kansas City is woven into our bright, inspiring venues, and our team is dedicated to bringing your vision to life with thoughtful touches and unparalleled service.
Crossroads Hotel Kansas City
We bring together artists, innovators, thinkers, doers, and dreamers to our Art District home to talk, learn, share, grow. Meet our Collaborators.
After an acclaimed career working in top restaurants of luxurious Las Vegas resorts, Christopher Elbow returned to Kansas City and began perfecting his chocolate-making skills. To satisfy the growing demand for his beautiful confections, Chef Elbow launched his own company, Elbow Chocolates. Treats from his collection can be found in the Private Bar of each room.
Beginning as a one-woman show in 2014, Convivial Production grew from a garage into the 2.5k sq. ft. operation it is today. Passionate about beautiful design and sustainable wares, Convivial partnered with Crossroads Hotel to create beautiful custom ceramic containers for the hotel’s signature candles.
This local design studio, print shop and retail store is located just up the street from the hotel. Offering everything from beautiful souvenirs to letterpress workshops, Hammerpress worked with the Crossroads team to ensure each room has beautiful framed art and custom pressed works.
After leaving the world of advertising, Kansas City resident Karrie Dean decided to embrace her passion for art and launched Happy Habitat, selling her beautiful custom blankets and throws. At Crossroads Hotel, you can find Karrie’s work in your guest room and throughout the hotel.
Talented Kansas City tattoo artists, husband and wife team Mikey and Megan Wheeler worked together to design the beautiful wallpaper in the guest rooms. Black and white, the design features plains flora on a grand scale. Mikey Wheeler’s work can also be found on the Lazia menus in the illustration of Tom Pendergast and Johnny Lazia.
Artist in Residency
The artistic heart of Kansas City beats in the Crossroads, and we’re here to amplify it. Our lobby gallery is a celebration of the community that inspires us, featuring works from local artists and exhibiting pieces created in our artist-in-residence program. Come by on a First Friday or any day of the week to witness a new kind of creative energy and be part of the conversations happening here.
