Equinox is conceived as a space of balance and suspension—where opposing forces briefly coexist, and the body becomes newly aware of its position in space. Taking its title from the seasonal moment when light and dark meet, the exhibition unfolds as an encounter with thresholds: between gravity and awe, beauty and unease, invitation and withholding.
Throughout the gallery, forms operate less as objects than as propositions. Veils, arches, and monumental structures suggest portals without declaring what lies beyond them. They resist certainty and fixed interpretation, asking instead how a body responds in their presence. Does a form lead somewhere, or does it hold us at its edge? Ambiguity here is intentional—an active condition that privileges sensation over explanation.
Scale and material shape this experience directly. Heavy, grounded works contrast with fragile surfaces and translucent skins. Ceramic, porcelain, glass, and mineral compounds are transformed through processes that balance control and unpredictability, leaving visible evidence of time, gravity, and loss. Some works conceal their interiors, offering only partial glimpses through light and close proximity, reinforcing the sense that understanding remains incomplete.
Equinox invites viewers to move slowly and attentively through the space. As bodies stand before, beside, and within reach of these forms—peering, circling, adjusting—the exhibition becomes a meditation on thresholds: between what is seen and what is felt, what can be known and what remains deliberately out of reach.
